Women'S Clothing: Hoodies and Tees | Spider Canada

This side of the shop starts with the same artwork the rest of the Spider Canada clothing range is built on, then cuts it for a smaller frame. Nothing here is a shrunken copy of a men's piece. Hoodies sit closer through the body, and the sweatpants hold their width to an open hem so the leg falls over the shoe. The tank tops are shaped to layer rather than swim. Sizes run S, M, L and XL across every garment type. A top and a bottom bought together stay consistent. Forty-four pieces sit on the shelf at the moment. If you would rather see them all in one pass than filter twice, the women's clothing for everyday layering grid above is the shortest route through them.

The women's clothing here is grouped by garment, so you can go straight to the hoodies or straight to the bottoms. Sizing notes, print explanations and care advice sit under the grid. The men's clothing from Spider Canada section draws from the same print families if you are shopping for two people at once.

What the Women'S Clothing Lineup Covers

Forty-four pieces of women's clothing, sitting in a handful of garment groups. The narrowness is deliberate: one print family gets several colorways instead of a dozen unrelated designs competing for the same rail.

Graphic Hoodies Cut for a Closer Fit

The hoodies carry the heaviest artwork in the range, and they all live in the graphic hoodies from Spider Canada group. Back prints do the work. Chest hits stay small, a mark rather than a statement. Push the sleeves up and the hood still holds where it should, which you notice on the days a hoodie is the only thing you put on. Size is where you have room to decide. Your usual size reads closer to the body. One up drops the shoulder seam and changes the whole line of the thing. Eleven hoods hang here, four of them OG Web, and the gentlest by a distance is the OG Web hoodie in Pink, a pale ground sitting under a dark graphic.

Long Sleeves That Work as a Mid-Layer

Seven long sleeves make up the crewneck sweatshirts and long sleeve layers section. Every one of them is Web. One drawing, seven grounds beneath it: white and gray at the light end, navy, black and green through the middle, red for warmth, and a navy-and-white split. For a range this small that is odd. It also happens to be handy, since the fit question gets answered once and after that you are only picking a color. Quietest of the seven under a jacket is the Web long sleeve in white, which reads almost plain from across a room.

Tees and Tank Tops for Warmer Days

Eight tees and two tank tops share the graphic t-shirts by Spider Canada section, with a compression tee making up the eleventh. The tees hold the darker prints, Hellcat Kenny and Thug and I Love among them, while the tanks pull the other way. Tanks get bought twice by the same person more often than anything else on this page, one size to wear close and one to wear loose over a longer top. Calmer of the two? That would be the ribbed tank top in olive.

Nine Sweatpants, Two Cargos and a Single Legging

Twelve bottoms sit on this rail. Nine of them are sweatpants. The sweatpants with an open hem group runs Ponk in five grounds, two pairs, Classic Flame Logo Graffiti and the. Two pairs of cargos sit beside them, the Varsity Web metallic pair and the wide-leg tactical pair. The twelfth is the one people ask after most: a single legging, close through the thigh and knee before it flares at the hem, with the Sky Blue graphic running down the leg. That pair is the Star Pattern leggings in Sky Blue, and it is the only legging in the shop.

Prints and Colorways Running Through the Range

Print names do a lot of work here, and most are families rather than one-off designs, which is why the same word turns up on a hoodie and again on a pair of sweatpants. New grounds appear on the latest Spider Canada arrivals page before they reach the main grid.

How OG Web Changes Across Four Hoodies

OG Web is the widest family on this side of the shop: Cyan, Black, Purple and Pink. The drawing stays put while the ground shifts from a burnt tone to near-black, then to a brighter mid-tone, then to pale pink. Cyan and Black are the darker pair and vanish under a coat. The loudest of the four on a gray afternoon is the OG Web hoodie in Purple.

Web, Ponk and the Darker Prints

Web owns the long sleeves. Ponk owns the bottoms, appearing in Slate Gray, Black, Purple, Phantom and Black: five grounds, one graphic. Phantom travels furthest of all, naming a hoodie, a tee, a tank top and a pair of sweatpants, so a head-to-toe set in a single print is possible without leaving this section. Most people start that set with the Phantom hoodie in black.

Reading a Colorway Name Correctly

Black, Slate Gray and Black are not three words for one shade. Black is flat and deep. Slate Gray carries a faded, warmer cast. Black sits between them. Check the photographs rather than guessing from the word.

Choosing a Size in the Women'S Range

Sizes across the women's clothing grid stop at XL and there are no half sizes, so the decision is nearly always between two neighbors rather than four. The size guide for Spider Canada garments lists flat measurements by garment type, which is quicker than opening two product pages and comparing photographs.

Where to Size Up on Tops

Hoodies take a size up well. Long sleeves do not, because the sleeve grows with everything else and you lose your hands. Tees land in the middle. Tanks should be taken at your measured size unless you want them loose over another top.

A Quick Check Before Ordering

Pull something out of your own wardrobe that already fits properly. Lay it flat and measure twice, across the chest and then top to bottom, and hold both numbers up against the chart. Shoulder width only starts to matter once you get to the hoodies.

Bottoms, Rise and Leg Length

Only the gathers at the ankle. The other eight sweatpants hold their width to an open hem, so the leg falls over the shoe rather than stopping above it. Caught between two sizes? Take the smaller and let the drawstring sort out the rest. The legging is the exception and should be taken at your true size, since there is no adjustment in it at all.

Building Outfits from a Small Range

A narrow range is easier to dress from than a broad one, which sounds backwards until you try it. Two pairings never fail. One print head to toe. Or one loud piece with everything else kept plain underneath it.

Putting a Hoodie with Sweatpants

Run the same print on both halves and the set reads as one garment rather than two. Mix two prints, and it rarely works, because the grounds underneath start arguing with each other. Share a print name or share a ground tone. Once you have done that, the rest of it falls into place on its own. The Ponk sweatpants in Black sit under almost any dark top, which makes them the least risky bottom in the section.

Layering a Tee Under a Long Sleeve

The tees are cut close enough to sit under an Web long sleeve without bunching at the waist. Put the darker one underneath and let a band of it show below the hem. The Web long sleeve in green handles this well, since the ground is muted enough to stand behind a busier tee.

Sections We Have Not Stocked Yet

Several categories in the menu have nothing in them. Those pages stay live, so the structure holds, but nothing inside them can be bought yet.

Kids, Sweaters and Matching Sets

The kids' clothing section has not been stocked, and no size below S exists anywhere in the range, so nothing in the adult grid doubles as a smaller fit.

Knitted sweaters from Spider Canada are in the same position, which leaves the hoodies and the long sleeves as the warm layers for now.

Matching tracksuits in graphic prints are not stocked either, so a two-piece has to be assembled by hand: top first, then a bottom in a ground that agrees with it.

Short sets in one matching print sit on the list rather than on the shelf, since they need a tee and a pair of shorts sharing one graphic.

Graphic shorts for warm weather have not been made yet, which leaves the two tank tops as the only summer pieces in the shop.

Caps, Beanies and Small Extras

Beanies in the Spider Canada lineup are not stocked, although headwear is asked about more often than anything else in the shop.

The same goes for caps carrying a front graphic, which stays open only so the structure survives while the range grows.

Accessories from Spider Canada covers everything that is not a garment, and it is empty for the same reason.

Care, Questions and Where to Go Next

Printed garments last longer with less heat. Wash cold, turn the piece inside out, and keep a hot iron off the graphic. The care notes for printed garments page goes through it garment by garment.

Anything the questions below do not settle is usually covered on the questions about ordering and sizing page, which deals with swaps, stock and the rest of the practical detail.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Is Actually in the Women'S Section?

Forty-four. Seven pullover hoodies and four zips, seven long sleeves, eight tees, two tanks, nine pairs of sweatpants, two pairs of cargos, two bodysuits, one pair of leggings, plus a compression long sleeve and tee. That number shifts whenever a new ground is added to a print family that already exists.

Are the Sizes the Same as on the Men'S Side?

Same labels, S through XL. The cut is not the same. The labels are, which keeps buying across both sections from turning into a guessing game.

Anything Here That Works on Its Own and as a Layer?

The Web long sleeves. Over a tee they add no bulk. Under a hoodie they do not bunch at the elbow. Seven of them exist, and all seven carry one drawing.

Which Print Turns Up on the Most Garments?

Phantom, by a clear margin. A hoodie, a tee, a tank and a pair of sweatpants all carry it. No other print dresses someone head to ankle without a second design joining in.

Why Only One Pair of Leggings?

Leggings need their own pattern. A sweatpants pattern does not transfer to them. So far only the Star Pattern Sky Blue version has been through production, and anything that follows will show up in the same bottoms grid.

Can I Get a Full Tracksuit?

Not as one item, no. Tracksuits have not been stocked. What works today is picking a hoodie and then the sweatpants that share its print name, or failing that its ground tone.

What Should I Measure Before Picking a Size?

Tops: chest and length. Bottoms: waist and inside leg. Lay out something you already own, measure it flat, hold the numbers against the chart. Shoulder width only matters once you get to a hoodie.

What Ruins a Print Fastest?

Heat. Wash cold, turn the garment inside out, and keep the graphic away from anything hot. Dried flat or on a hanger, a print outlasts a tumble-dried one by a long way.
