Terms and Conditions

These Spider Canada terms apply when you order from this site. Placing an order means accepting them, so they are written plainly enough to be read in one sitting.

Nothing here removes any right you have under the consumer law of the country you are ordering from.

Who You Are Dealing With

This site is operated by Spider Canada, and anything on this page that says we or us means the operator of spiderscanada.ca, and the contact page is the way to reach us about any of it.

When an Order Becomes a Contract

Adding a piece to a basket does not reserve it and neither does a wishlist. The contract exists once we accept your order. It is when the dispatch confirmation is sent rather than when the first confirmation email arrives.

When We Can Decline an Order

If a piece turns out to be unavailable, if the price shown was clearly wrong, or if an order looks fraudulent. In every one of those cases anything already taken is refunded in full, and we tell you why rather than letting it go quiet.

Prices and Stock

Prices are those shown at checkout in the currency displayed there. Stock is held in small numbers per size and colorway. A piece can sell out between being added to a basket and being paid for. That is the reason a basket is not a hold.

Delivery

Delivery destinations are those offered at the address step. Timings depend on the carrier and the destination, and any estimate given is an estimate rather than a guarantee.

Risk passes to you on delivery. If a parcel arrives damaged, that is ours to sort out, and the shipping page explains how to raise it.

Returns and Cancellation

Your right to cancel and return is set out on the returns page, along with what can and cannot come back. Nothing there reduces a statutory right; where the two differ, the law wins.

Using This Site

Read it, link to it, quote a line of it. What you cannot do is lift the writing or the artwork for commercial use, scrape the site, or go looking for ways to break it.

Our Prints and Artwork

Every drawing on this site, and the words on it, belong to Spider Canada. Buying a garment buys the garment, not the right to reproduce what is printed on it.

Accuracy of What You Read Here

We work hard to describe pieces accurately, and colors in particular can look different on your screen from how they look in daylight. That is a limitation of screens rather than a misdescription. It is why the size guide and care pages carry the detail that matters.

Where the description is genuinely wrong rather than merely flattering, that is a fault and it is handled as one.

  • Color on a screen is not a promise of color in the hand.
  • A print described as running on the back is on the back, and that is checked.
  • Sizes are the flat measurements published, not a general impression of fit.
  • Stock counts reflect what is actually on the shelf at that moment.

If any of those is wrong on a piece you received, write in and it will be put right.

What We Do Not Promise

We do not promise that this site is available without interruption, that every link works forever, or that a colorway will return. Where something genuinely goes wrong with an order, our responsibility is to put that order right.

Limits on Liability

Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Beyond that, our liability in connection with an order is limited to the value of that order.

Events Outside Anyone'S Control

Where something genuinely outside our control delays an order, we will tell you and keep you informed. If it becomes clear the order cannot be fulfilled, it is canceled and refunded rather than left open indefinitely.

Your Account

If you create an account, keep the password to yourself. Anything done through an account is treated as done by its holder, so tell us quickly if you think someone else has access to it.

If Part of These Terms Does Not Hold

Should one part of this page turn out to be unenforceable, everything else on it still stands. One clause failing does not take the others with it.

Changes to These Spider Canada Terms

Terms change from time to time. The one governing your order is whichever version was published the day you placed it. We do not apply a later change backwards.

Law and Where a Dispute Goes

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which this business operates, and nothing in that removes the protection of the consumer law where you live.

Before anything formal, write in. Most things that look like a dispute turn out to be a parcel, a size, or crossed wires. All three are faster to fix than to argue over.

Who Is Responsible for Your Data

This store is operated by the business behind Spider Canada (https://www.spiderscanada.ca). Its full legal details — registered name, address and company or tax registration number — are being finalised and will be published here as soon as they are confirmed. Nothing on this page depends on them: the commitments below apply now.

For anything about your personal data — a copy of it, a correction, deletion, or a complaint — write to support@spiderscanada.ca.
