Product Care

This Spider Canada product care page covers the whole range in one routine. Almost every piece carries a print, and heavy fleece with thick ink on it fails for one reason above all others: heat. Water does not lift a print off cloth; a hot dryer does.

The Wash That Keeps the Print

Turn each piece inside out, run it on a cold cycle and leave the bleach alone. Facing the print inward is the habit that matters most, because it keeps the printed face off the drum and away from the rest of the load. Wash dark colors together so a strong dye has nothing pale to bleed onto, and keep rough fabrics such as denim or anything with a zip out of the same wash.

Crystal-Set and Rhinestone Pieces

Anything set with stones belongs inside a mesh bag. Stones lift at the glue line when they catch on a zip or another garment, not because of the water itself, so keeping them separated is worth the small effort. The all-over crystal pieces are the heaviest in the range and the ones to think hardest about before a wash.

Drying and Pressing

Hang each piece rather than tumbling it. At 380 GSM the dryer shrinks the body and cracks the ink, in that order, and raised puff lettering flattens for good once it has had direct heat. If a crease needs pressing, press from the inside and keep the plate off the graphic entirely; at fleece weight most creases drop out on a hanger anyway.

One Routine for the Whole Range

The jersey tees take the same treatment, though they dry faster and crease less, and the joggers follow the tops exactly. The way the. Spider Canada hoodies are built means this one routine covers tops, sets and joggers alike, and the rest of the range sits in Spider Canada.
