Caps by Spider Canada: Headwear Coming Soon

Caps have not been made yet, so this category is empty and will say so until that changes. The clothing side of the Spider Canada clothing store is a different story: hooded pieces, long sleeves, printed tees, tank tops, sweatpants and a pair of leggings are all in stock and all cut in S, M, L and XL. Brimmed hats simply have not reached production. Rather than leave a blank grid behind a menu item, this page explains what adjustable caps for daily wear are supposed to do in a wardrobe built on graphics, and what you should be checking when the first ones eventually turn up.

Most of what decides whether a cap suits you happens above your eyebrows: crown height, brim curve, how the back closes. Photographs rarely show any of it. So the sections below work through those decisions in order, then cover sizing, care and storage. In the meantime, the printed tees and tank tops hold the part of the range a cap would eventually sit above.

The Caps Page Is Still Empty

An empty page is not a broken one. This category has an address, a place in the menu and links pointing at it from elsewhere on the site, and all of that keeps working whether or not there is stock behind it. What it does not have is a single product.

No Headwear Has Arrived So Far

Both hat categories are unstocked, not just this one. If knit is what you actually wanted, the beanies for winter mornings page is in the same state and covers the cuffed and slouchy shapes in detail.

Shop the Printed Pieces Meanwhile

The garments are where everything currently lives. Eleven hooded pieces with large back prints anchor the heavier end, seven pullovers and four zip fronts, and each one carries artwork across the chest, the back or both, in a spread of dark colorways plus a lighter option. Underneath them sit long sleeves and tees, which is the layer most people build from first. For the bottom half there are nine sweatpants in relaxed everyday cuts, two pairs of cargos and one set of leggings.

What a Cap Does for a Graphic Outfit

A cap is the only garment that sits above your face, which gives it more influence than its size suggests. It frames everything below. Wear it over something plain like the Graphic T-Shirt in white and the hat becomes the loudest thing you own.

Shade, Structure and a Cleaner Line

Three things happen at once when you put one on. Your eyes get shade, the top of your head gets a defined edge instead of a soft one, and messy hair stops being a decision you have to make. The third reason is the honest one for most people.

Curved Brims Against Flat Ones

A curved brim wraps toward the face and reads quieter. A flat one stays straight and reads deliberate. Neither is correct, but they belong to different outfits, and the shape of your face decides more than any trend does.

Crown Height and How It Reads

A low crown sits close and disappears; a high one stands up and takes the outfit somewhere else. Taller crowns balance a wide shoulder, which is worth knowing if you buy toward the larger end of men's clothing in oversized cuts.

Adjusting the Strap at the Back

The closure is where a cap either fits or annoys you all day. A strap that leaves a gap at the back changes how the whole thing sits forward. This matters just as much across women's clothing in fitted shapes, where proportion is doing more of the work.

Building a Look Around Headwear

A cap has to belong to the outfit rather than be added to it. The easiest way is repetition: pick up a color that is already there. The tones running through the crewneck sweatshirts in seven colors give you plenty to echo.

With a Tee and Sweatpants

This is the combination a cap was built for, and it is also the one most likely to go wrong. A loud bottom half such as the Sweatpants in white, where the drawing runs the full length of one leg in white on black, already pulls the eye downward, so a cap has to fight for what is left. Balance it by keeping the top half dark and quiet rather than adding a third loud element, and let the two ends of the outfit share the attention. Two statements at once is one too many. A piece like the Wide Tank Top in Phantom does that job without fighting anything.

Over a Hood, and When Not To

Cap over hood works when the hood is down and the cap is doing the framing. Hood up with a brim underneath rarely sits well, because the brim pushes the hood off the back of your head. The same conflict will apply to sweaters with high necklines once those are stocked.

Sizing Headwear Without S to XL

Clothing here uses four letters, and every measurement behind them lives in the measurements for each garment size, which is the page to check before ordering anything you plan to layer. Hats work on a different system entirely, usually a circumference in centimeters or an adjustable range, and the two do not translate. Nothing about wearing an L on your body predicts what fits your head. For the same reason, no child sizing exists here yet, since kids' clothing in younger fits has not been stocked at all.

Measuring Around the Head

Run a tape just above the ears and around the widest part at the back. Keep it level and do not pull it tight. That single number tells you more than any photograph, and it is the figure a listing will quote.

Why Adjustable Closures Make Sense Here

An adjustable back covers a range instead of a point, which is why it survives hair changes, seasons and sharing. Fixed sizing is more precise and far less forgiving. The same preference for range over precision shows up in tracksuits sold as matching pairs, where two pieces have to agree.

Keeping a Cap Clean and Straight

Caps collect more than a shirt does and get washed a fraction as often. Sweat at the band and dust on the crown are the two problems. The care instructions for printed pieces cover the garments; a structured hat needs a gentler routine than any of them.

Washing Without Losing the Shape

Never a machine. Cool water, a soft brush at the sweatband, then air dry over something round so the crown keeps its form. Flat drying is what turns a hat into a pancake, exactly as it would flatten the printed panels on short sets sold as a two-piece.

Storing Caps So Brims Survive

A brim remembers whatever you did to it. Stacked under heavy clothing it flattens; crushed in a bag it kinks and stays kinked. Stack them crown to crown on a shelf, well away from the drawer holding your shorts for warmer months.

When Caps Join the Catalog

No date has been fixed, and inventing one would not help either of us. Headwear comes after garments in the plan, and small goods come after headwear, which is why the accessories that finish a look page is still waiting too.

What Is Planned for the First Release

Nothing is confirmed, so read this as thinking rather than a promise. A short run of caps in the colors already running through the range makes more sense than a wide launch, and the count on the shop with every garment listed will show it the moment it happens.

How to Catch the Drop

There is no list to join and no countdown to watch. New stock goes onto the latest additions to the range page as it lands, which is faster than waiting for a category grid to refresh, and it shows every category at once so you can see the rollout in order. If you have a question this page has not covered, or you want to ask about a shape you would like to see made, the ways to reach Spider Canada page has the details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is There a Cap I Can Buy Today

No. No caps have been produced, so the category carries no stock. Everything available sits in the garment categories, from hooded pieces down to bottoms.

When Does the First Headwear Arrive

No date has been set. It comes after the garment range is settled, and no firmer answer than that exists yet.

Will They Be Curved or Flat Brimmed

Undecided. Curved and flat caps both have a case, and nothing is confirmed until stock is ordered, so no shape has been promised.

How Will a Cap Be Sized

Caps will almost certainly be sized by an adjustable back rather than letters. Measure around your head above the ears and compare it against whatever the listing quotes.

Can I Wear One with a Hood

With the hood down, yes, and it looks deliberate. With the hood up a brim tends to push it off the back of your head.

What Is the Right Way to Clean One

By hand, in cool water, with a soft brush at the band. Dry it over something rounded so the crown holds its shape.

Why Is This Page Here with Nothing on It

The address is linked from other pages and needs to keep working. Saying plainly that nothing is stocked beats showing an empty grid.

Can I Suggest a Style for the Range

Yes. The contact page takes messages, and requests for particular shapes do get read when the range is being planned.
